In the past 10 years, a multitude of technology flat-screen televisions were sold new, all with excellent improvements in the technology of the past. The rapid advancement of technology has left many of us back, like most of us do not have degrees in electronics. So what are the main differences between these new TVs?
Flatscreen
These are the oldest of the new flat screens. They came around about the same time the LCD TV, but they were very cheap for its size, which is why they were more popular over the introduction. Plasma screens use a gas, which turns into a plasma when an electric current passes through them, which emit light.
Plasma Pros:
– Cheaper compared with other flat panel displays for the same size.
– Generally more color, more realistic than LCD TVs.
– Black and more profound reason for contract TVs LCD.
– Do you suffer from motion blur. Plasma screens have fast refresh rates, and moving objects appear less blurry.
– Viewing angle greater than LCD TVs.
Plasma Cons:
– Less time in life than other flat screens. Plasmas are expected to last 10-15 years, while LCD TVs will last twice or more.
– Plasma uses more energy to operate.
– Do not come in all sizes (they do not come in sizes small, and only come in sizes of a set of few, for example, 42 inches, 50 inches, 60 inches.).
– Normally, a little thicker and much heavier than the others.
– It is more susceptible to reflections of reflection in bright rooms.
LCD TV
LCD panels came into existence in the form of computer monitors. The technology itself has been around for many years. It's the same basic technology as the screen of a calculator pocket. LCD TV generally refers to a fluorescent backlight LCD TV. This should not be confused with the new LED TV, which is technically still an LCD TV, except with the technology LED backlit.
Advantages
– Life expectancy better than plasma screens. Expected life of 30 + years is possible.
– Screens LCD consumes less power than plasma, but more than the TV LED.
– It comes in various sizes, from computer screens to 60 + inches.
– Lighter a plasma, therefore, easier to mount on the wall.
– Although prices for LCD TV were higher than in plasma, it is falling rapidly with increased production.
Disadvantages:
– Worst of the panel in terms of performance: low contrast and motion (motion blur can).
– Narrow angle of vision, with slight color change possible for any particular viewer.
LED TV
LED LCD TV is actually technically, but illuminated with LEDs instead of fluorescent light source / s. This technology is the next generation of LCD panels.
The differences between the LCD technology with LED lighting and current:
– LED backlit display produces greater dynamic contrast, due to its direct illumination.
– Flat LED can be extremely thin, to about an inch thick.
– LED TVs consume less energy of all three types of screen.
– LED TVs currently cost much more than LCD, but prices should drop significantly with the increase in production.
– LED TVs are considered the most reliable all current flat panel systems.
I hope this makes your search for a suitable TV experience easier!
