HDTV is best for gaming LCD or Plasma LED? (Best Picture)?
Samsung 55 "Series 8 LCD TV LED is by far the best picture I have I witnessed. However, I keep reading reviews that plasmas offer better pictures for movies. Can someone who has actually seen personally these TV's me say that one has the best image quality in general?
It's all about numbers! LED's Plasma and LCD's have the proportions, resulting a greater contrast of black, white lighter, brighter colors and look! But this is were the similarities end! Plasma also has the fastest time Pixel Response (.001 ms), and the fastest refresh rates (600Hz), making it ideal for fast-moving content like sports, movies and Games! LED LCD's are still limited by faulty LCD technology that … response times slower (2 ms) and refresh rates (240Hz)! Does not mean they are terrible content fast moving, it just means plasma are better at playing it then LED LCD's! Plasma have Motion Picture smooth! Another difference between the two is the power consumption. LED LCD power usage of about 40% less than standard LCD and Plasma's! What good if you are in any eco-friendly thing! Keep in mind, however, LED displays are also the most expensive HDTV in the market right now! Then you have to ask itself is worth saving $ 25/year for a TV that costs $ 3,000 more?
