My Samsung 42 "Plasma TV has rolling horizontal lines when it gets warm. What could be causing this?
Initially I thought it was some kind of electronic interference from our neighbors house, because there would be no white lines that appear and disappear. This continued for some time and then the lines wouldprogressivelyy last longer and longer. It happened when I finally realized it was warmer in the house and the TV was on for some time. Thus, it appears that the TV would begin to receive the lines when heated. They progressively got worse, black and white horizontal lines rolling. I put a fan behind the tv and seemed to have fixed it causes. Now it's worse than ever and TV has black, white and a dash of red and green lines too. Please help! What is this? And it's even worth trying to get fixed?
There's a good chance he is the buffer plate! Former Samsung Plasma seemed to have this problem too and it used to be very expensive to repair ($ 600 +)! Not sure if they are still much to replace them though! If you are under warranty, contact Samsung for repair or replacement. If it is under warranty, call them for a quote. It is better to buy a new TV and good luck!
