Plasma TVs vs. LCD TVs?
I'm sure has been asked a million times …. which is better plasma or LCD? According to Consumer Reports, both have about life even with the use of average. He says that plasma TVs can be seen most any angle without glare, but LCDs have "hot spots" you have to watch from … So the guy at the shop told us otherwise … are more likely to trust consumer reports, but just looking for anyone can give us feedback on how to compare the two! Thank you!

I prefer LCD, but I think the little difference between the two (in one level). You is unable to obtain a plasma below a certain size, and you have to be careful about where you live … Plasma TVs use gas tiny capsules to create the image. This gas (like any other) reacts to things like air pressure. If you live in a city that is above, you will have a different image than what is below the sea level. This is one reason I prefer LCD over plasma … you get an experience more consistent (but I travel with audiovisual equipment, so that is something I have to be concerned about). My advice … go to your local electronics store and have a look at them! Keep in mind that the changes are not each TV is calibrated the same, then you have to look at every man for himself and not much compared to the color and brightness of the image (use the specifications for this instead of your eye). What you can see (that the store can not spoil) is the angle of vision, the inputs available, and overall appearance of the unit. I'm sure you will find that any decent quality LCD will compare a plasma and vice versa.
