Should I buy the extended warranty $ 400 on a plasma TV?
Im buying the Panasonic TH-50PX60U 50 Plasma TV ($ 2,100) and can not decide whether the guarantee extended if it is worth. Any thoughts?
I personally never paid for extended warranties because if something does not break the first year, it probably will be OK for the life of the product. Just for peace of mind, people buy extended warranties for expensive items. Notes that "experts" recommend not pay more than 15% of the purchase price if you decide to do so. Panasonic is a very good brand and probably the best brand of plasma. As the other poster said, Costco has a very affordable extended warranty and a generous return policy.
