If you're looking to get a new TV, or building a home theater, then there is a bit of research to be done before making the plunge. In There are two competing technologies for high-definition TV screen televisions. The first is the LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) and Plasma TV second. Both offer excellent image, perfectly flat screens that will keep your lines straight looking, and immunity from magnetic distortion, but the technology is better? What are their pros and cons in perspective? Read on for more information.
Before I get into that you should buy, you should get the "how run down" editing quick and dirty. It is very difficult to compare two competing technologies, because they tend to be, by nature, apples and oranges. Is why aid known their fruit. Plasma and LCD TVA generate your photos very different ways. TVA plasma pixel is composed of cells filled with gas coated with a phosphorescent material. When an electric current load of gas in a cell, which makes the coat shine. However, in an LCD TV, the pixels are liquid crystal cell placed on a fluorescent light. The opacity ranges of cells in response to an electrical signal, passing or blocking light. This method has been used for computer monitors for time.
Burn in has plagued the reputation of the TVA plasma, while the LCD is viewed as a screening of "The frieze from the" TV only but recent technological advances have decreased the differences between these two competing technologies. Resistance are now more TVA Plasma burn the ship and with guards screen, while Lcda have larger viewing angles. So what's the difference? Well, first things first. It is no accident that the major manufacturers TVA plasma TV is offering at the top of your schedule to put Lcda's in their positions entry level. One reason for this is the fact that Lcda's are not economical in larger sizes. It is very rare to see an LCD with a screen size of 40 ". Also, if you are looking for sizes the 37 "screen, an LCD is the choice of flat panel only.
In my opinion, in general there is still a difference large enough to have a clear winner. I think that for applications with film type you will be better off with a solution of plasma. Plasma will give you a slightly better picture with brighter colors and contrast in larger sizes. LCD, however, is great for a TV extra and if you watch your electric bill, you will be happy to know that an LCD uses much less energy than a plasma of the same size.
So if you need a flat screen for the kitchen, you will not be disappointed with the convenience an LCD TV. If you are looking for a TV to a size that overlaps technologies, then you must decide which to go with it. I would choose a plasma TV, most cases to a LCD TV of the same size. I feel the benefits of Plasmaa's image quality outweigh the cons of the advantages of Lcda, who also happen to be rapidly disappearing as the technology matures plasmas.
