The plasma or LCD for me?

Viewing distance: 12 feet Mainly for: normal TV, just watching mainly SD movies, and play Wii will buy a new TV in 3-4 years after this, because it will change much until then anyway. Which is right for me?
Indeed the plasma will perfect for you and your distance from the seat! At 50 ", recommended a 720p a seat pitch is 10-14ft. At 40", 1080p is a recommended distance Seating is between 5-7ft. If you get a 1080p TV and watch it at 12 feet, it will look just like the 720p! Defeats the purpose of obtaining 1080p! See the chart i link below.
