plasma tv sound problems

As home theater owners looking for ways to improve and refine their sound systems, there are some differences that should be considered before treating a living designated home theater. Although the treatment of a room for early first reflections is a must for a sound supreme, comb filtering is another step in the treatment sound does not differ in their characteristics and processes.

Comb filtering is not the same as before first reflections, but comb filtering is more a byproduct of the previous first reflection that occurs any time two sound waves interfere with each other. In other words, if the direct sound from a speaker comes into contact with the reflected sound of the speaker, the two sound waves are really different. The sound waves are delayed in time, and the technical term for being "out of phase" with each other. In other words, the sounds are not in complete alignment phase. When these out-of-phase signals combine, the result is comb filtering. At some frequencies, comb filter enhances the sound and amplifies it to that frequency, while other frequencies that cancel each other out and produce zero. The term "comb filtering" is used because the graph of the frequencies show very sharp peaks and valleys resembling a comb.

When dealing with early first reflections, it is best to use the materials are totally absorbing at frequencies as low as possible. First reflection points are not normally a place in the room below where it accumulates. Therefore, traps should be down in the corners of the theater at home or in the back wall. If low humane is placed elsewhere in the room, there is a need an additional trap of big bass at the point of first reflection. Bass in a room is non-directional as opposed to the higher frequencies that move in radius. Bass tends to project out, similar to the effects of throwing a stone into a lake. The waves ripple out into the pond, and a similar result can be seen with three major dimensions. Thinner panels that absorb up to 200 Hz are usually more than sufficient in terms of going down enough to preserve the lines of directional frequencies higher. However, small rooms need a lower proportion cruelty compared to larger rooms. Bass Traps are designed for normal semi-reflection higher frequencies and more momentum low, but thick panels can be used for any additional bass trapping.

In the comb filter, a last way to control the absorption of the first reflections is the selection of materials for home theater seating surfaces. The solution to the seat reflective surfaces such as leather, is to add objects to the absorption of living area. Adding items such as blankets or thick seat covers is one way easy to absorb without reflection a room full refurbishment. If the existing furniture will affect sound reflection or not depends on the materials surfaces. Smooth surfaces are more likely to absorb reflections, however, if the material actually absorb low enough to call them traps down is more difficult to determine. Quality of total absorption of reflection depends on the material of the moving parts are made and what the absorptive properties of materials are used to make them.
