I want to connect my laptop to my Plasma TV?
I have a Dell Inspiron 6400 with only 1 VGA output. I have a Pansonic Plasma HDTV with component, composite and HDMI inputs. I bought a cable, one end is VGA and the other side has red, green, blue connectors. This cable produces a green line on the right side of my TV with low quality image. I messed around the resolution and refresh rate, with no luck. Is this the correct cable? If not, what is? What is my solution cheaper to watch movies on my TV from my laptop? Thanx in advance.
Well, your only options are these: 1) Have your video card of your replaced by a computer that has HDMI output and use that to connect to your TV via HDMI cable .($???)! 2) Get a VGA converter box to HDMI ($ 100 – $ 200) and use that to connect to the TV via HDMI cable. 3) Make a cheap Upconverting DVD player ($ 40 – $ 60) and hook it up to the TV via component or HDMI cable.
