To say that I watch many movies and play a lot of video games would be an understatement. Plasma TV?
I really need to see the rich black of a film but want my games to look cool and not burn my television screen. I read before that the problem of image "burn" that video games create in plasmas has been eradicated, but that this information is legit? If there is a problem, I'd be better off going with an LED or LCD?
Burn-in is no longer a problem with Plasma TVs today! I recommend sticking to brands like Panasonic, Pioneer (if you can find one) and for Samsung Plasma TVs. They are the best performance and more reliable! Just keep in mind that LCD TVs (including LED), not display content of fast-moving and Plasma do to their response times slow! The best response time of LCD is 2ms. That is 2,000 times slower, then a plasma (plasma all are near instant, 001 ms)! Plasma TVs also refresh rates are faster (600Hz), then LCD, which makes them better in displaying movie also Plasma! It will also overcome LED TVs the "native" Contrast Ratio area as well! Plasma TVs have the ability to turn on or off each individual pixel. LCD TVs can not do that and that is why their native contrast ratios will never be as good as Plasma!
