What kind of TV screen is more durable, LCD or plasma?
It seems that the stores are phasing out the old-style tube TVs in favor of screens lightweight, does not seem nearly as durable (I have 3 children under 10). Any thoughts. I received a response from each person … longer have any idea? I'm looking to purchase about 2 weeks …
With kids, Plasma is definitely the best choice. LCDs have plastic screens, which are easily broken and kneaded. They can be scratched with a fingernail and many chemicals can damage them. Plasmas where the brightness is a problem, get a set without the coating. If you can, mount the set on a wall out of reach of sticky fingers and while I know it's easier said then done, imposing a rule not playing. You break a screen in a these sets, and in many cases, it is not economically repairable.
