
The storm hit. A water pipe burst. The sprinkler system went out and your photos have suffered water damage.
Do not panic. Read on to learn about how to repair water damaged photos and photo recovery.
1. Remove. Carefully lift and remove the photos wet water. Avoid touching the surface of the photograph. If the water-damaged photos are glued, peel them carefully separated, but not force separation.
Framed photos need to be removed from their frames at once, as the picture may later join the glass. To do this, wash the glass and the photo on which flows gently in cold water. 3. Seco. After washing, lay the wet photos turned up in any type of absorbent material such as paper towels. However, do not use paper that has some impressions about it. Change towels or paper towels every hour until the photos are completely dry.
To avoid damage to the mold, use a dehumidifier, especially in rooms that are small or damp. Keep the room where the photos are dried at a cool temperature. Using a fan, too, to help circulate air in the room.
If the wave pictures, put them in a pan of water (not underwater) or moisten the back photo. Then, the stack of photos between blotting paper white and apply a weight to the top of the stack. Let the pictures in this position until they are completely dry. This trick can help put the photos new apartment.
One must also consider the printing of new copies of photographs which were not damaged negative water. More photos will be more difficult to recover because they are more sensitive to water and can no longer have downsides.
