plasma tv issues
If I buy a 40 "-46" Samsung LCD TV or plasma, or DLP?

I look at TV today. I checked out all the brands. They better picture (color, pixelation, Image change) we found was Samsung (runner up was the Sony). We did not like the tone in black and DLP, but the seller said it was better in the dark. (I know that the general framework is better, but pixelation color?) Plasma and LCD were beautiful, but I have read reviews from users who have problems. Plasma has burn-in issues and LCD TV would be mute randomly. I think there was a firmware update for the LCD which fixes this. Moreover, they mentioned the Samsung has crappy customer service. I'm reading the Rantings of a few or should we go with a different brand? PLEASE HELP! All experiences appreciated!

I can not speak from Samsung, but I can tell a bit about plasma and LCD. Plasma burn-in will be something to consider, through the life of the plasma, but should be a concern a little more during the first 100 hours. This is usually a break in period. If you expect your family will be doing a lot of games there, then I would recommend LCD simply because the games have scores static can usually use on a plasma screen. If you watch normal TV, or later turn the white screen plasmas then there is nothing to be really worried. LCD is typically a little brighter and the whites are whiter as compared to plasma. However, blacks in plasma are typically better. With LCD you do not have to worry about Burn in A disadvantage to LCD, or at least use to be a negative point was that there was a light LCD to display the image. This would create uneven brightness and make it better viewed directly in front. Meaning if people watched from the sides that would not see such a nice picture. Plasma it was never the case because each pixel has its own gas is ignited. As an old CRT tube of a happy person can see the picture anywhere that they can see the screen without worrying about the loss of brightness and therefore loss of enjoyment of image. With the new LCD's that have improved the technology is probably very negative has been eliminated, in which you should base your purchase off of you like terms of satisfaction. To comment on DLP, the vendor is correct. DLP does not show better in the dark because it is about contrast is far superior to LCD or plasma normally. With that said I think that LCD or plasma is the way you go. Good luck! Edited to add: Burn in not diminish the life of a plasma display. It can be annoying if an image is permanently burned in, but the plasma is still fully functional and can still be used. In Most of the time the image is burned noticeable when watching TV or DVD's.
