Bell issue of the TV screen?

ok, so I just got my new bell system installed with an HD receiver and a plasma TV and im not sure setting display. In my settings I left the TV aspect ratio of 16:9 as standard and in the bell I realized the setting should be 16:9 as well, but then the menus (as the guide) occupy the entire screen, but the channels do not fill the entire screen. So I tried to change the format of the image in the ring to "4:3 # 2 "and most of the channels to fill the entire screen, but now a lot of HD channels are only in assembling a small box in the middle of TV and frames the black box is all the way all this time I left the HD as 720p, because im pretty sure that my tv shows. can someone please tell me how to get all the channels to fill the entire screen. by way that would change the settings are on "menu> System Configuration> Configuration HDTV and my TV is an LG plasma 42PQ12 "Thank you for all your input and suggestions in advance.

Well, if you're trying to set it during the day, most the TV shows are displayed as 4:3 images in 16:9 frame during the day. Wait until night, or go to the HDT or HDTH (Discovery Theater Hi Definition), as they are always Hi Def and 16:9. I use this station for all settings of my HD / tests. Put your 16:9 aspect ratio to return to the TV and box Bell.
