When choosing an HDTV, there are some things to consider before buying. Some of the biggest things are looking at the image quality and cost. Samsung PN50A550 scores well in both areas. It is also important to look at the brand and its history. Samsung has been a manufacturer of TV a lot of respect for many years and is one of the best in my opinion, so that definitely gives more to this television.
First is the image quality. All TVs have a resolution that can display, this TV special can display a resolution of 1080p, or Full HD. No higher resolution available on any TV now, then obviously this is best the market has to offer. Not only is this capable of HDTV the highest resolution available, but also has some of the more accurate color of any HDTV.
Some other things that are important to include all the additional features included with the TV. This TV special includes several types of entry, making easy to connect everything you want on your TV. This TV has 2 complete sets of inputs and components, which are great for gaming systems, video or DVD. He also 3HDMI includes entries that are also great for DVD players, cable boxes and other accessories. There is also a good standard connectors present in few, and all TVs.
One of the largest falls this TV is a reflection of the screen. Although Samsung says that this includes your TV "Filter Bright Anti Reflective Technology" that still has a bit of brightness. Obviously, there are times when this can be a very large drop, while at other times, might not even be noticeable. And issues brightness this TV has problems with the full, deep dark colors. This TV has a high contrast ratio, making the dark colors better than most other plasma TVs, but is far from being the best.
Perhaps the most important thing to consider with this TV is that it is a plasma HDTV instead of an LCD. Plasma TVs are slightly older technology, although they still provide some of the best quality image of all TVs. Why is a plasma screen that has many advantages, such best viewing angle and higher color depth, though it also has disadvantages such as, possibly, lower life expectancy and use more energy.
Overall, the Samsung PN50A550 is a big television, so everything just comes down to price. This TV usually sells around $ 1700 – $ 2100 becoming competitive prices of LCD and plasma screens of the same size. Obviously, each TV will have its own set of characteristics of good and bad, and it is important to look for all aspects before you buy. Taking all aspects of TV in perspective the price is very good for what it offers, and I would give this TV a 8 / 10 based on performance and price. If it were not for the problems of glare that TV would be almost perfect, and for the price, you just can not beat this TV.
