If you are sending TV definitely get the actual box for your TV manufacturer. It will allow you to hold the TV and will protect it properly during transport. If you use UPS any other type of box and the TV gets damaged or any carrier will not cover due to bad packaging. I know because I have a friend that this happened. He had the box and send it to the shipping company and paid him $ 2500 when the TV was damaged during shipping.
