Learn the difference between soaps and detergents
Soaps and detergents differ in their composition and cleaning power. Soaps are generally composed of an alkaline soda and salt and can be enriched or "built" with phosphate or washing soda to make them more alkaline. Examples of soaps Net buildings are not soft, such as washing Ivory and Lux, as examples of new built are Duz, Rinso and Instant Fels Naphtha. Neutral, mild, or soap pure no blockers are often recommended for washing silk and wool, both of which are sensitive to alkali. They are also used for washing fabrics antistatic finishes with detergents, because they tend to remove the finish.
Soap is generally not as efficient as the detergent, because it combines with minerals in hard water to form an insoluble deposit (called a curd soap or soap of lime), which collects the water and dirt from sticking to clothing and interior washing machines. People used to circumvent this problem by having a bath outdoors to catch the rainwater, which is very soft and strained through a gauze or linen. They also added washing soda to your soap to increase its cleaning power.
Detergents are made from petroleum products, modification of fatty acids and other chemicals called builders (phosphates and silicates) that loosen the tie mineral water to be clean. Ever that phosphates are banned because they pollute the water, detergents nonphosphate may require hot water to work efficiently. Unless the water is very smooth, and the warm, you can get some stiffness or discoloration or colored or patterned fabrics with light detergent. Heavy-duty, built detergents without phosphates function and phosphate types of warm or hot water.
Chemical detergents my additional include corrosion inhibitors to protect machines washing, fluorescent whitening agents who cling as paints, solvents such as alcohol, perfumes, and enzymes to dissolve the soil protein. Detergents are best and stronger than soap to synthetic and moderate to heavily soiled, and they are required in hard water. Because they often have alkali strong in them, it is good to use rubber gloves if you wash them by hand.
How To Choose The Right soap or detergent
To general purpose, the marks of the less expensive house will do as well as those announced at national level, where no particular problems with your water. Delicate fabrics are best treated with a soap (if you have hard water) or a synthetic detergent, such as those recommended for wool and fresh water. Heavily soiled and with synthetic my greasy stains require heavy duty types with constructors. Post are so expensive in the long term as liquid detergents (which are more concentrated) and, initially, cost more, because you will have to use more energy than liquid. The liquids are more convenient for the pretreatment of spots and stains before washing.
You can also get away with using much less than the amount recommended on the package for lightly soiled items. No matter how you choose, add products rinsing water (especially if you wash in cold water), not only to let it dissolve and disperse, but to allow chemicals to soften the water before you add the clothes. Cleaning is some help from them is much more to learn about caring for clothes and cleaning products on the site.
