What are the problems with plasma TV's at high altitudes? I am in Flagstaff, AZ in the 7200 foot elevation.
With any TV based refrigeration, such as plasma, LCD and DLP projectors, you have to be aware of the maximum altitude if you live in an altitude as high as yourself. The majority of TVs should be rated to run at least 7500 feet. Since you did not call a TV special, then I read the specifications the manufacturer's website on the Internet. Should indicate the operational altitude. When you run an electronic device in a high altitude, the device has to work harder to cool. If the device is not classified for its elevation, then the unit will continue to overheat and shutdown.
