You probably without thinking about it, use items containing an LCD (liquid crystal display) every day. Everyday items such as notebooks, your digital clock phones, microwaves and many other electronic devices use LCD technology. LCD Monitors realize many benefits in terms of display technology several others available. On television, they are thinner and lighter and draw much less power than the old style cathode ray tube (CRT) and flat produce much less heat.

You may know that a traditional CRT TV uses three electron guns to produce its image. They are the equivalent of three very fast, brushes need that Flash and back, paint a moving picture on the back of the screen you see when sitting in front of him.

As the computer screen and even digital photo frames, if you get close to a flat screen TV you will see that the image is composed of millions of minutes squares known as pixels. Each of these is, in simple terms, a separate red, blue or green color that can be turned on or off at breakneck speed to make the color image in motion. In an LCD TV, the pixels are on or off using liquid crystals that rotate polarized light.

Take 2 pairs of polarized sunglasses, they should be polarizing, so this simple test to work. When the two pairs are at 90 degrees to each side, you will not be able to see through them at all.

Using the trick sunglasses, LCD TVs are capable of changing the color of pixels of lights on and off at high speed. Light big bright emits light to the viewer. The pixels are in front of this, each pixel is composed of red, green and blue sub-pixels.

A liquid crystal is positioned between the filters and this is turned on and off electronically. When connected, the light passing through it is rotated 90 degrees, so the light passes through the filters and making the bright pixel. The transistors that control the pixels on and off quickly, many times a second actually.

Thus, unlike traditional and plasma televisions, there are no phosphors that light up, less energy is required for the operation and the light source in an LCD television generates less heat than a Plasma or traditional television. Another great advantage is that the LCD technology emits no radiation from the TV screen.

After its initial release, TVs LCD's were generally in support of a higher price than plasma models. Prices are, but much more in a pair today and considering the time of LCD TVs is usually much more than an equivalent, plus plasma use much less electricity to operate, an LCD TV in my opinion is a great option.
