What is the difference between plasma TV and LCD TV technology?
Pl help me choose a 32 inch with a comparison between features in the budget of around Rs 45 000 from LG, Samsung, Sony or anything else in the league.
A panel of plasma display (PDP) is a type of display flat now commonly used for large TV displays (typically above 37 inches or 940 mm). When choosing between plasma and LCD televisions, the reality we choose between two technologies competitors, both to achieve similar features (eg bright crystal clear images, super color-filled pictures) and come in similar packaging (eg 3.5 inch depth flat screen casing). To complicate the decision making process further, price and size are two previous considerations that are not making on issues such as TVs, LCDs are now made in larger sizes and competitively priced with plasma. Despite their similarities, the two technologies are very different in the way they deliver the image to the viewer. Plasma technology consists hundreds of thousands of individual pixel cells, which allows the drives electrical (from electrodes) to excite rare natural gases, usually xenon and neon-causing them to shine and produce light. This light illuminates the proper balance red, green or blue phosphors contained in each cell to display the proper color sequence light. Each pixel cell is essentially an individual microscopic bulb fluorescent, under instructions of software included in the transom electrostatic silicon. Revise very close to a plasma TV and you can see the color of each pixel red blood cells, green and blue bars. You can also see the black ribs which separate each. Whether spread across a flat screen or placed in the heart of a projector, all LCD displays come from the same basic technology. A matrix of thin film transistor (TFT) voltage supplies liquid crystal-filled cells between two sheets of glass. When hit with an electrical charge, the crystals of unraveling a precise degree to filter white light generated by a lamp behind the screen (for flat screen televisions) or projecting through a small LCD chip (for projection TV). Televisions LCD reproduce colors through a process of subtraction: They block particular wavelengths of the color spectrum of white light are left with the right color. And it is the intensity of light passing through this matrix LCD screen that enables LCD televisions to display images full of colors or shades of them.
